North Jersey Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center is seeking a Per diem Registered Nurse to join our team. The Endoscopy RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. - Serve as a circulating nurse in the procedure room. - Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for upper endoscopy, colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. - Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesia providers, nurses, and endoscopy technicians to ensure safe patient care. - Monitor patient condition and ensure patient safety during procedures. - Ensure accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility standards. - Educate patients and families on pre-operative and post-operative care. - Follow infection control, safety, and ASC protocols. - Uses equipment effectively following manufacturer’s instruction for use - Uses proper techniques and procedures according to a...
