Job description

The Senior Manager exercises management responsibility over the administrative and operational activities of the Cardiovascular Research Institute (CVRI). The Senior Manager is responsible for establishing short and long term goals and objectives in line with Mount Sinai Health System as well as ensuring compliance with federal, state and city regulatory agencies. The Senior Manager directs and coordinates all technical activities and functions, is accountable and responsible for all laboratory operational functions in the CVRI including report preparation and representing assigned area at departmental meetings, maintaining in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles and instrumentation. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for providing administrative and programmatic oversight. - Manages and acts as resource for the laboratory on a wide range of technical and critical strategic issues. Responsible for lab operations and the oversight of all aspects of efficient laboratory operations.
