Responsibilities Primary Job Functions: General Responsibilities: - Assists with the completion of the assessment process of patients including but not limited to the following: Height/weight, vital signs, and current medication list. - Administers injections, observing the seven rights of medication administration. - Communicates effectively with the physician and care team regarding the patient's physical and mental condition. - Interfaces actively and cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team. - Reports laboratory results to the physician. - Responds to patient phone calls in a timely and appropriate manner. - Calls in prescription refills as directed by authorized prescribers. - Facilitate PAs for prescriptions. - Updates patient medical records as needed. - Collects and prepares laboratory specimens, including venipuncture and point of care testing. - Assists in instructing patients about medication and special diets. - Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, MindSet, etc.), according to the AltaPointe Policy & Procedures. - Demonstrates the ability to recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to deescalate or resolve the situation. - Meets AltaPointe productiv...
