Transport Team Leader

Job description

We are looking for a talented Transport Team Leader to join our team specialising in Logistics for our Transportation department in Daventry, United Kingdom. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. Working hours are Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift: 7:00am–3:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm (including shift allowance). In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Manage a team of up to 16 people, providing leadership, guidance and escalation support. - Oversee Export and Inbound shipping processes, including booking equipment, documentation, and customs clearance. - Ensure adherence to SOX, trade compliance, and all regulatory requirements. - Attend key stakeholder meetings, facilitating smooth communication between senior management, internal teams, and external partners. - Prepare and analyse KPI reports, documents, and dashboards that inform strategic decision‑making. - Work effectively with time‑sensitive and changeable schedules, maintaining flexibility and accuracy under pressure. - Identify and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and service quality. - Safeguard confidential records and files,...
