Material Handler Superintendent

Job description

Key Responsibilities Material Movement & Coordination: Oversee daily material handling operations, including forklift and overhead crane usage. Ensure timely delivery of materials to production areas to prevent delays. Monitor equipment availability and coordinate resources across shifts and departments. Team Leadership & Supervision: Direct, coach, and evaluate the material handling team. Manage scheduling, staffing, and workload assignments to ensure full coverage. Conduct training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and standard work practices. Communication & Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between material handling and other production supervisors. Maintain proactive communication to anticipate and resolve material flow issues. Provide regular updates on material movement status and challenges. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safe operating procedures for forklifts, cranes, and all handling equipment. Monitor team adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
