Job description

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two years of Operations experience, preferably directly related supervisory job experience in an Operations environment. Two years of custodial and/or janitorial experience is preferred. Knowledge of current labor contract, and experience dealing with union representatives is desired. INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interview and/or competency assessments. SUMMARY: Supervises the activities of Rail Car Cleaners in the cleaning and inspection of the Authority’s revenue rail car fleet to ensure cars are cleaned satisfactorily according to prescribed standards. Schedules cars are to be serviced and coordinates service with the Rail Yard Tower Supervisor and Rail Maintenance Supervisor to ensure trains are cleaned efficiently.
