Market Range: 07 Hiring Salary: $22.00/Hourly (Non-Certified) $25.00/Hourly (Certified) THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION (20 HOURS PER WEEK): JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Police Officer’s essential duty is to safely and expeditiously retrieve funds from various departments on UT Health Science Center property, and to transport the collected funds to a designated financial institution for deposit. This position will also be utilized to complement shift shortages by providing safety and protection of personnel and property, as well as to eliminate and deter all criminal activities for the University and the surrounding areas. This is accomplished by patrolling an assigned area to enforce laws and ordinances, regulate traffic, control crowds, prevent crime, and arrest violators. This position requires adherence to all departmental policies and procedures and support the vision and mission of UT Health Science Center and the Chief of Police. Collects funds from various departments on campus. Coordinates with the Bursar's Office prior to transporting funds; transports collected funds to the appropriate financial institution.
