Description Job Area: Music Theory: Job Title: Adjunct Instructor of Music Theory Rank: Adjunct Instructor: The College of Wooster seeks applications for a part-time music theory instructor beginning immediately. Primary duties include teaching two sections of aural skills to both music majors and non-majors during the fall term, and one section of aural skills and an upper-division counterpoint course during the spring term. Aural skills classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30-9:20am and 1-1:50pm during the Fall semester and 1-1:50pm during the Spring. Meeting times for Counterpoint, during the spring semester, are to be determined with the successful applicant. Candidates are welcome to share other areas of expertise. Qualifications: Qualifications : Master’s degree required, preferably in music theory or composition. Candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful teaching, as well as the ability to be a congenial colleague. Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining students is highly desired.
