Specialist, Field Safety - 000GJL Description: The Field Safety Specialist position is a leadership role established to oversee application of the Safety processes for the respective region. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Daily Safety support of local area Operations, Maintenance, and Shared Services personnel. - Maintain close communication with local Maintenance and Operations Supervisors and Managers. - On-site support of high-risk projects and maintenance activities with a focus on Job Planning/Prep, Equipment Isolation, Equipment Clearing, Excavations and Hot Work/Atmospheric Monitoring. - Track the progress and status of open audit / ESS action items and assist in completion where possible. - Visit all control rooms, shops, work sites, pipeline projects, and other field activities on a routine basis to make observations and check compliance and implementation of established safety practices and procedures. - Attend and participate in Operation’s Job Planning, contractor pre-bid, and shutdown meetings with input relative to safety items, activities, and requirements. - Conduct walk-through safety and housekeeping inspections with local management and/or un...
