Description The UM-Flint School of Nursing has a LEO Lecturer opening for the fall 2026 semester, teaching NUR 604 (Advanced Health Assessment and Clinical Reasoning - THEORY). This is a three-credit (25% effort) mixed-mode course starting August 20, 2026. Course description : Prerequisites: Concurrent election of NSC 503 and NSC 504. Investigation of advanced health assessment and differential diagnosis for adolescents, adults, and elders seen in primary care settings, with a focus on the use of diagnostic reasoning and laboratory testing as a framework to synthesize knowledge for comprehensive, systematic, and organized assessment of clients. Diverse approaches are used to expand proficiency in conducting systematic and organized history and physical examinations. Emphasis on sensitivity to cultural and developmental needs as well as health promotion. Students are required to come to campus for an on-site simulation evaluation.
