- Be part of a world‑first international research collaboration developing synthetic plant chromosomes. - Work at the forefront of plant synthetic biology with access to leading researchers, facilities, and global partners. - Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis till 31 May 2028 - Base salary range: Level A, $83,449 – $112,371 p.a. plus 17% superannuation. About the area: The School of Molecular Sciences and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plant Energy Biology bring together internationally recognised researchers working across molecular biology, genomics, and synthetic biology. This role is part of the Plant Artificial Chromosome project, a high-profile international collaboration between The University of Western Australia, the University of Cambridge (UK), Phytoform Labs (UK), and the Australian Genome Foundry at Macquarie University. The position is based in the Bayliss Building at UWA’s Crawley campus, providing access to state-of-the-art laboratories and a vibrant research environment.
