Job Description Job Title: Certified Scrub Technician Status: Full Time Hours: Variable Reports to: Team Leader/ Surgicenter Director Purpose of Job: Facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team. Qualifications: 1. Must be a graduate from an accredited surgical technology program or an accredited school of nursing with a Tennessee nursing license 2. Basic Life Support certification required 3. Previous experience in an OR setting (1 year minimum) recommended 4. Must be in overall good health with satisfactory hearing and eyesight; must be able to bend reach, and lift 50 lbs. using good body mechanics 5. Knowledge of OSHA guidelines preferred 6. Must be able to work forty (40) hours per week and overtime as deemed necessary by the supervisor 7. Must be self-motivated, professional and maintain a positive attitude 8.
