R&D Intern – Product Design Spreads for Emerging Markets

Location: Wageningen, Netherlands Hybrid: 4–5 days per week in the office Start date: September 2026 Duration: 6 months About the role: We are looking for a curious, passionate, and driven R&D Intern to join our Spreads team for Emerging Markets and support our work on improving the nutrition of our spreads portfolio. In this role, you will dive into the science behind ingredient choices and interactions in spreads, supporting the optimization of formulations for next-generation products. You will work on spreads for emerging markets and contribute to research focused on improving the nutritional profile of our portfolio. You will gain hands-on experience in the lab and pilot plant, independently produce prototypes, conduct analysis, and lead product tastings. The project will be focusing on researching and testing nutritional ingredients and understanding how different ingredient choices influence product functionality.
