American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter 2026–2027 School Year Position Join the team at Care Options for Kids We are seeking a skilled and compassionate American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in accessing their full academic and social potential. In this role, you’ll facilitate communication, promote language access, and ensure students can fully participate in the general education curriculum. What You’ll Do: Provide direct interpreting services in: - Classroom instruction across academic subjects - Small group and one-on-one settings - School activities, meetings, and events Interpret using: - American Sign Language (ASL) - Signed Exact English (SEE) or other communication modalities (based on student needs) - Facilitate communication between students, teachers, peers, and school staff - Support students in accessing classroom instruction, discussions, and - Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and families - Participate in IEP meetings and support communication access in compliance with Individuals with Disab...
