IT FIELD TECHNICIAN

Job description

Provide on-site installation services to all of the company's commercial customers and some residential customers with a primary focus on installing hardware and software products and services that have been specified and sold. Products include: access control systems and software, surveillance products such as IP cameras and video management software platforms as well as analog DVRs and cameras, IP based intercom systems , fire systems, TCP/IP based network hardware and software, and intrusion system software and hardware. This position will consist of mostly field work with travel to customer locations on a daily basis with a company supplied vehicle. You will be required to work on servers, workstations, software and networks that will either be completely installed and supplied by our company or in environments where we will install software and hardware on customer owned networks, servers and workstations. Good communications skills are a must since you will be interacting will both technical and non-technical customers. A solid networking background is a must as you will be expected to work with our customer's IT departments to solve software, networking and hardware issues....
