BASIC PURPOSE: The purpose of the Sales Associate I is to assist The Salvation Army in the operation of the Thrift Store for the Reno Adult Rehabilitation Program. This job description is a broad outline of responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Stock, clean, rag out goods, operate the cash register and prepare daily paperwork. - Responsible for keys to open and/or close store. - Responsible for maintaining good customer relations and giving prompt, courteous assistance to all customers. - Answer telephone in a courteous fashion and direct caller to appropriate department. - Ensure store appearance is clean and orderly. - Responsible for janitorial duties: e., cleaning windows, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, etc. as assigned by management. - Other duties as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
