Job description

Responsible for the operations, maintenance, and upkeep of the Veritas Netbackup application across multiple environments (Testing, Unclassified, and Classified). Maintain the appropriate DOD Cyber compliance level as directed by the program Cyber security office via patching and configuration using DISA STIGs. Provide technical input and accomplish development, deployment, and configuration tasks to maintain the current operational environment. Monitor backup jobs across multiple platforms. Perform periodic disaster recovery scenarios. Maintain backup policies and standards. Troubleshoot performance problems and propose solutions. Maintain all equipment for the backup environment, including servers and disk storage devices. Manage and execute complex database backups, particularly in SQL and Oracle environments, to ensure data protection. Create and maintain documentation. Follow and maintain in-house documentation for repeatable processes.
