Laboratory Technician

An opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician within the Alloy Plant at our Exeter site. This role operates on a 3-shift rotation, and reports to the Laboratory Supervisor. 3 -Shift Rotation consists of 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am. Shift premium payable. Your main responsibilities will include;: Analysis of alloy samples by instrumental techniques using; Combustion, Optical emission and X-ray Fluorescence techniques. Samples include preliminary melt samples, certification samples, and remelt samples from casting plants and external customers Preparation of samples for analysis: Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment: Routine standardisation of laboratory equipment: Maintaining 5S within laboratory: Inputting of results to LIMS: Calculating bath additions during heat manufacture using LIMS and Optimat Please note that this role may be subject to export control restrictions, including under ITAR.
