Title: Power Line Construction and Maintenance Technology Instructor- Whiteville Extension Campus Employee Classification: Faculty: Institution: TCAT-Jackson: Department: Power Line Construction: Campus Location: TCAT Jackson: Job Summary: - Possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to teach all areas of Power Line Construction and Maintenance Technology. - Must be proficient in Power Line Basics, industry-accepted Safety Practices, Climbing Wood and Steel Structures, Electrical Theory and Concepts, Electric Utility Operations, Underground Power Line Construction, and Single Phase and Three Phase Transformer Connections. - Provide individualized classroom, lab, and field work instruction to postsecondary and secondary students to prepare them for employment in power line construction and maintenance fields. - Teach students safe and effective practices in: Overhead and underground line construction, climbing wood and steel structures and rigging techniques, equipment operation (bucket truck, digger derrick, etc.), electrical system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Commitment to remain current in the Power Line Construction and Maintenance field...
