Job Summary: Provides patient care for the unit/department by optimizing operations and organizational efficiencies while promoting a world class environment. Professional Standards: - Maintain sterility during surgical procedures. - Communicate and collaborate with RN and other multidisciplinary departments to coordinate the appropriate care for the surgical patients in the most efficient and highest quality. - Follow all relevant federal requirements, AORN standards, The Joint Commission standards, and hospital policies and procedures, when caring for the patient and performing other tasks. - Participate in unit and hospital wide Performance Improvement activities. - Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment. - Provide education and be a resource to other staff members, students, and new orientees. - Pursue lifelong education staying current on professional changes and best practices of su...
