WPBF, the ABC affiliate in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is offering a Paid Internship in the News Department. Summer 2026 Session: Application Window: March 16, 2026 – April 30, 2026 Session: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026 In order to apply for an internship at WPBF, please provide a cover letter with your application. The cover letter should include: Interns will spend 10-12 weeks shadowing and gaining on-the-job experience. You will be working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. - Position Preference: News Producer, News Reporter, Video-Journalist, Technical Production, Digital Producer - Available start and end dates - Days and hours available to intern News Producer: You will collaborate with news managers and other producers to determine what the important stories are daily that need to be covered. You will learn how to write copy for broadcast, research stories for details and accuracy, and develop the ability to complete projects quickly and efficiently. You will learn how to manage the execution of a live newscast in a control room, working closely with production staff.
