Description FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Welding Team Member to work on the production line. This position involves being a Machine Operator to a welding machine by placing automotive parts into a machine to be welded automatically. No welding experience is necessary. Essential Job Functions: - Perform process evaluation by completing forms prior to shift or operating machines - Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components - Load workpieces into welding machines - Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding production lines - Turn and press buttons to start welding machines - Install appropriate electrode size and type, tips, and welding rod or wire - Remove part from welding machines and place final products into containers - Record operational information on specified production reports - Test and visually inspect completed workpieces for defects or quality issues, using leak tests - Use hand tools, such as hammers, chisels, wrenches, and wire cutters - Notify Maintenance or Team Leader...
