Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW The Associate Database Architect provides technical direction for the development and implementation of database systems. Use a combination of business and technical skills to design efficient, scalable, highly available database applications. Possesses strong technical, organizational and communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Participate in recommendations for new development tools for Data Management area - Develop training effort for database tools and initiatives - Design, develop and implement complex database systems, programs and applications - Code review of projects - Attend scrums to help assist with inter-project code and architecture needs - Work with IT, PMO and users to identify and develop system requirements - Write, maintain and review functional and technical specifications - Keeps abreast of evolving Database technologies and best practices and recommend improvements as appropriate. - Escalation point for database application issues - Perform optimization of SQL code LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: - This position has no managerial responsibilities.
