Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family centered model of care and, in accordance with Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) values, “ We Care for Everyone, We are Always Learning, and We strive for Better Results”, the position promotes a safe and respectful working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff. Reporting to the Manager, the Supervisor supervises over sixteen (16) Housekeeping Aides and Lead Hands, and is responsible for organizing staff, resources, and daily activities to meet established housekeeping standards. Orders, monitors and receives Environmental Services supplies, maintains related reports, monitors expenditures and prepares budget estimates, and acts as a liaison with other departments.Performs a variety of housekeeping duties, such as, but not limited to: damp dusting; dry and wet mopping of floors; floor maintenance and refinishing using appropriate equipment; cleaning & disinfecting ceiling, wall, vent, washroom, bed, furniture and equipment; regular and biomedical waste collection and removal; hazardous spill clean-up; bed-making; and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility according to organiza...
