Job Summary/Basic Function: To perform journey-level installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; perform related work. Level Scope: Regularly works on tasks that are varied and complex. Applies full range and job knowledge; frequently adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet specialized needs; may serve as lead; performs broad and/or focused assignments under general supervision; originality and ingenuity are often required to help establish procedures in functional area; relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks. Essential Functions: ● Analyzes, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all HVAC installations, fire and boiler alarm and surveillance control systems (high and low pressure); defines and implements preventive maintenance programs for motors, steam condensate return traps, pumps, controls, compressors, auxiliary heating and cooling systems, and related devices; compiles reports for changes, including reporting costs, estimating values, and justifying changes; reviews work of construction; maintains air distribution and balance systems; adds chemi...
