Job description

Purpose and Scope: Performs traffic management cargo handling duties. Operates general and special purpose vehicles, materials handling equipment and cranes. Transports, handles and processes cargo for transportation modes. Loads/offloads 463L pallets, containers and trucks. Ensures compliance with the applicable USAF mandatory requirements. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). Essential Responsibilities: - Prepares freight offered for shipment to include packing, crating, weighing, marking, labeling and documenting cargo. Ensures hazardous materials are properly inspected, documented and certified. - Prepares and handles cargo in accordance with all prescribed regulations, instructions, technical orders and procedures. - Prepares with limited assistance all required shipping documents for all cargo offered for transportation. Assigns/obtains Transportation Control Numbers (TCN).
