Join us! 2nd shift (M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm) Grade 2 POSITION SUMMARY: The Machine Operator is responsible for following standard operating procedures in the operation of power tools and production equipment to process tantalum and niobium scrap and powder. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Blends and samples incoming powder products. - Sets up and operates jaw crusher, tornado mill and blending equipment. - Sets up and operates scrap processing equipment. - Sets up and operates 1,500t press - Ability and willingness to multitask and learn other areas of the Melt Shop. - Requires mechanical aptitude. - Follows good safety practices, complies with PPE requirements and follows environmental policies. - Must be able to understand specifications and use measuring instruments with assistance. - Requires ability to recognize problems and seek assistance to resolve. - Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor. - Maintains work area in a clean and orderly way and follows 5S standard work practices.
