Job Title: Certified Peer Support Specialist (North Carolina) Location: New Hanover County: Employment Type: Full-Time: Position Summary: The Certified Peer Support Specialist provides recovery-oriented support services to individuals receiving outpatient behavioral health and/or substance use treatment. Drawing on lived experience, this role promotes hope, empowerment, and self-determination while helping individuals navigate recovery resources, engage in treatment, and build community connections. The Peer Support Specialist also assists with community outreach, group facilitation, and basic health services such as rapid STI testing (as permitted by training and certification).
