Lead Engineer - Mechanical Design & Production

Job description

Role purpose You will work together with our project team as an owner for Mechanical design -taking a data-centre project from early concept through detailed design, procurement, construction support and handover, while staying aligned to EcoDCs reference architectures and governance. Youll lead technical due diligence (TDD) for mechanical scope, drive vendor selection, and make pragmatic trade-offs across performance, resilience, maintainability and cost. What youll own End-to-end mechanical fitout workstream plan, deliverables and decision log Mechanical interfaces across electrical power, controls/BMS, fire/life safety, water, structural and civil TDD responses for mechanical scope with traceable assumptions and evidence Equipment and vendor strategy: specifications, bid evaluations, clarifications, FAT/SAT input Design issue resolution during construction (RFIs, changes, non-conformance, risk mitigation) Key responsibilities Lead the mechanical design from early phase through construction, ensuring outputs are buildable, operable and maintainable Produce and defend mechanical design decisions (topology, redundancy, water strategy, modularity, control philosophy) Translate custo...
