Part-time Surgical Scheduler

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Scheduler to support an orthopedic surgeon at our Naples location. Schedule: 3 days per week on-site Monday, Wednesday, Friday (part-time 20-24hr/week) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Coordinate and schedule procedures or surgeries, pre and post op appointments as designated by physicians - Interact with patients’, physicians and other staff, both internal and external, providing timely and responsive information - Coordinate processes and route all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements - Initiate and track medical clearances as required by physician or physician extender - Initiate authorization for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services or medical supplies - Obtain financial estimate for procedures, surgeries, ancillary services and medical supplies - Complete all “tasks” and orders in a timely manner - Scan internal documents accurately into patient’s medical record - Demonstrate courteous and helpfulness toward patients and their families - Display flexibility in work schedule dependent on clinic needs - Other duties as assigned - Maintains strictest confidentiality in accordance with HI...
