Overview Job Summary: Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital’s mission, vision and values. Additionally, under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the critical care technician performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. These duties include, but are not limited to, bathing, mouth care, ambulation assistance, toilet assistance, feeding, measuring vital signs and blood glucose, transporting, ECG and phlebotomy. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions: 1. Perform basic patient care with minimal supervision and within established policies 2. Accurately check and record vital signs 3. Collect specimens as directed 4. Promptly answer call lights and provide necessary assistance in a timely manner 5. Report patient changes, problems, complaints or requests to appropriate personnel 6. Assist in the maintenance of equipment 7. Perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) 8.
