Automation Engineer - Body Shop

Job Description The Role: As an Automation Engineer at Flint Assembly, you will support the Body Shop and the broader plant at large by maintaining and continuously improving our automation systems. These include vision-guided applications utilizing Keyance, Photoneo and Matrox vision systems. You will also be integral in troubleshooting, problem solving, improving throughput, increasing MCBF, reducing MTTR, and help in training our workforce on new and emerging technologies. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Provide in-depth support for automotive assembly environment, with a focus on Body Shop automation. Maintain a thorough understanding of Body Shop automation hardware/software and interfaces to other control systems (PLC, line controllers, plant floor systems, etc.). Lead projects end-to-end: define scope, manage issues/risks, and drive issues to closure. Communicate project status through regular project meetings, status reports, and reviews to ensure alignment with internal customers.
