Description Employment Status: Full-Time or Part-Time: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly): Schedule/Work Hours: Variable hours as determined by Pastor Reports to: Pastor and Director of Operations Summary: The Coordinator of Elementary Religious Education is responsible for the application of a parish catechetical program(s) for youth up to grade 8. This position will work collaboratively with another staff Coordinator of Religious Education administrating a parish faith formation program that includes Religious Education sessions on Sundays and Wednesdays, Family Catechesis, First Holy Communion, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and Vacation Bible School. This position will also perform basic administrative duties related to the Faith Formation Program and will maintain files and records of students. The Religious Education Coordinator will also connect the parents and families in the program to the larger parish community. Other responsibilities may include preparing and distributing weekly bulletin communication (both paper and electronic) to parents.
