Title: Summer Success Coach in University College/Retention Services Employee Classification: Student Help Regular Division Name: Academic Affairs Department: University College Job Summary: The Summer Success Coach in University College will contribute to student success and retention through one-on-one personal coaching and provide outreach efforts to navigate the registration and enrollment process. Success Coaches are trained by University College to address academic barriers, understand the enrollment process and connect students to appropriate campus resources and services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and professional demeanor. The skills or experiences that are desired for the student in this role include: strong interpersonal skills; compassion for students who struggle and comfort working with individuals with different backgrounds and identities. Duties will include: 1. Help students navigate their summer coursework and fall enrollment. 2. Proactive outreach via phone and email to Illinois State students. 3.
