Room Service Associate Job Description: Room Service Associates are responsible for delivering meals to patients and guests with a cheerful and excellent service attitude following the approved method of service. Department: Food and Nutrition: Hours: Per Diem; 16 hours a week required (Not benefit eligible) Required: Food Handlers Certification within in 30 days of hire Pay: Based on experience, starting $16.14 Responsibilities: Assists in restocking coolers, plates, flatware, cups, etc, Assists wherever needed in the Room Service operation – taking patient meal orders, etc., Confirms the patient’s identity by checking ID badge and verifying patient name and date of birth, Delivers guest trays and collects payment., Demonstrates knowledge of all menu offerings, diet variations and specifics of what may be ordered by patients based on their physician prescribed diet., Ensures that all foods are covered, labeled, dated and timed in accordance with HACCP guidelines., Ensures “Always Very Satisfied” service.
