Job description

New Student and Family Engagement is comprised of three offices, the Offices of Orientation, New Student Connections and Parent and Family Engagement, and is a part of the Associate Vice President/Dean of Students staff within Student Success. These units strive to advance the mission of the university by providing a seamless transition for all incoming students and families to ensure their successful entrance, navigation, and participation in a full college experience. The departments cultivate community, foster a sense of belonging, and provide individualized support aimed at assisting in the successful transition of new students and their families. Understanding the developmental needs and readiness of students and families, the departments provide support, programs, and communication to enhance the student and family experience. The units assist students and families with navigating campus resources and policies, communicating timely campus resources and deadlines, and helping to mitigate barriers that prevent student success.
