Position Department: RISE Center Position School: College of Health and Human Sciences Overview: RISE Center lab assistants are nursing majors who have successfully completed core 2nd year courses: NURS2020 Assessment and NURS3015 Foundations. They assist faculty and staff in the smooth running of the RISE Center both in classes and behind the scenes. Lab Assistants are responsible for working with students, administrators, faculty, staff, visitors as well as equipment and supply cleaning, maintenance, set up and tear down. Responsibilities: Under the direction of the RISE Center Director, and with guidance from the Lab Assistant Manager, and simulation faculty, the student worker will be responsible for assistance with coordinating the following operational aspects of the RISE Center. Hours: approximately 8 to 10 hours per week for up to 15 weeks per semester Responsibilities: • Maintain RISE Center as a clean, safe, and operational facility and optimal learning environment. Staff the front desk, monitor, assist and record external visitors, sign out loaned equipment, monitor locker key use, and other related assignments.
