Reuters is looking for an ambitious copy editor to work on our fast-paced Global News Desk. Expect to work alongside award-winning journalists in a global news organization long recognized for its commitment to accuracy and fairness. The role is posted for Barcelona. Please note, you will be expected to work some weekend and evening shifts as part of this position. We're looking for a sharp journalist who is adept at crafting and honing stories that span geographies, industries and markets; from scoops and breaking news to wrap writing on major news stories , quick-turn analyses and insights. The position demands an understanding of the needs of Reuters' wide audience, from financial and professional clients to the world’s biggest media organizations and digital publishers, and a willingness to help lead us to new readers. This is the role for you if you're ready to experiment with new story formats and tools. Crafting sharp headlines, ledes and nut paragraphs are essential skills.
