Major Responsibilities: 1. Prepares the patient at the onset of the visit 2. Assists the physician with procedures and examinations as needed 3. Assists the physician in the provision of patient and family education 4. Answers general questions 5. Performs clerical duties as necessary Files reports in patient records. 6. Provides nursing care for the patient as directed by the physician 7. Maintains accurate medical records 8. Communicates clearly and appropriately with team members, providers and patients Communicates 9. Completes accurate coding of medical and laboratory procedures Completes encounter form correctly. 10.
