Senior Technician, Teleport Operations PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS: - You will ensure communications equipment operates properly and delivers the highest standard service to our customers. In the role of Senior Technician in a 24/7 Teleport you can showcase your strong technical skills and know-how to perform complex routine on-site installation and repair of equipment as well as preventive maintenance. As you are proficient to the various competencies of the job, you will have the opportunity to act as mentor to junior team members. COMPETENCIES: - You perform moderately complex troubleshooting and quick restoral of services - You may lead preventative/periodic maintenance checks of ground station equipment and associated sub-systems. You validate recordings, review for any anomalies and take the appropriate action to correct. - You play a senior role in providing Level 1 maintenance, which includes troubleshooting/fault isolation, replacement of major assemblies and sub-assemblies as well as performing basic alignment procedures. - Responsible for emergency restoration of all ground station equipment, as applicable: up converters, down converters, HPA's, IFL fiber...
