Optometric Technician Valley Health Partners Community Vision Center Job Summary: Performs a variety of patient care, administrative, and technical tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, collecting medical history, conducting preliminary testing, and assisting with diagnostic equipment. The Optometric Assistant also helps with scheduling, documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate, professional service to patients. Work Experience: - One-year relevant experience and/or training. Education: - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. - Equivalent combination of education in optometric or ophthalmology practice. Licenses & Certifications: - BLS upon hire. - Work toward Paraoptometric Certification.
