We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Charnwood to assist with the appointment of a Fleet Manager, on a 5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £19.00 - £25.17 per hour Summary: The Fleet Manager will provide strategic leadership across all fleet operations within the operational services environment. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance, improving fleet performance, and managing the complete vehicle lifecycle from procurement through to disposal, while supporting sustainability and cost efficiency. Responsibilities: - Ensure full compliance across all fleet activities including vehicle standards, roadworthiness, inspections, defect reporting, MOT planning, and driver documentation. - Develop and implement fleet strategies to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency. - Oversee fleet audits, compliance reporting, and evidence submissions. - Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs with internal teams and external suppliers. - Deliver compliance briefings, toolbox talks, and refresher training programmes. - Implement reporting fr...
