Job Title Senior IT Security Analyst Department: Information Security Services: Salary: Commensurate with experience: Job Summary/Basic Function: The Senior Information Technology Security Analyst reports to the Director, Information Security Infrastructure; will assist with the management of a campus-wide information security program, concentrating on implementation and maintenance of network and infrastructure security posture by utilizing best practices and compliance with relevant information technology security standards, procedures, and regulations. Analyze traffic, system logs, and alerts, making recommendations to improve security posture and security system tool configurations. Participation in documenting processes and technology to ensure the security of all MTSU systems, data collected, stored, and transmitted by MTSU. Research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of information security industry issues, alerts, and threats. Participate in departmental on-call rotation and perform other related duties as assigned.
