Job description
The following examples are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed in positions allocated to this occupational class. No attempt is made to be exhaustive; related, similar, or other logical duties are performed as assigned. Research, identify develop and maintain grants for program funding and services. Submit grant proposals for Board approval. Research and write funding applications for Hinds County including the Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Services, Youth Court and other departments as applicable. Prepare grant applications for submittal and prepare quarterly or annual reports as required by granting agencies within the designated time frame. Develop professional relationships with private and federal agencies. Work effectively and efficiently with County Departments in a collaborative approach to expand the number and dollar award of grants. Maintain all records relative to grant administration. Assist departmental personnel in writing periodic reports to comply with grant requirements. Work with City Grant Writers on grant requirements that require memorandum of understandings, contracts, interlocal agreements and other requirements. Attend re...
