Job description

Position Summary - Working interdependently with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, provides a broad range of physician assistant services following established policies and protocols. QUALIFICATIONS: COMPETENCIES: - Provides services to patients including but not limited to ambulatory care, taking health histories, risk assessment and cancer screening, performing assessments, diagnosis, and conducting health education and counseling. - Assess, manage, and treat acute, chronic, benign, and malignant breast conditions. Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status. - Interpret breast imagery (ultrasound, mammogram, MRI) collaboratively with breast radiologists. - Interpret breast pathology. - Perform genetic testing based on NCCN guidelines, interpreting common testing results, and conducting counseling based on results. - Routine meetings with laboratory representatives and Cancer IQ management. - Develops plans of care based on patient assessment ensuring appropriate follow-up in accordance with established physician assistant protocols. - Provides teaching and emotional suppor...
