ATLANTICARE- ROLE DESCRIPTION: TITLE: Surgery Center Perioperative Registered Nurse Pre-op/PACU JOB CODE: 2057, 1945, 1948, 2703 EXEMPT: NON-EXEMPT: X REVISED: 8/17 (Q) 8/20 02/24 (T, Q): POSITION SUMMARY: The Perioperative Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and family support throughout the three phases of the surgical experience. This position provides the physician members of the healthcare team with the equipment, supplies and support in the Pre-Op and PACU areas. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's in nursing preferred. Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey required. BLS required. ACLS required designated by specialty below. Ability to effectively communicate with others and adjust to changes within daily schedule of activities required.
