Job description

Summary Structural Mechanical Engineer. Conducts range of activities associated with analysis and testing to develop design options or recommendations for products and processes. Designs new products and processes, performs structural engineering analysis, and provides technical support. Role Responsibilities: - Work with the product design teams and other technical support teams to develop the structural reliability of various Carrier products - Support and facilitate vibration and mechanical laboratory testing and evaluation including data processing and summarization - Facilitate Finite Element Modeling (FEA) of structural analyses (static/dynamic; stress, fatigue, modal), including interpreting and summarizing results. - Diagnose root causes of structural issues and propose/validate solutions - Manage multiple concurrent projects - Communicate outcomes through technical reports and clear presentations of analyses and recommendations. - Create, improve, and document standard work practices and procedures.
