The only thing missing is you! Responsible for performing an age and diagnosis specific assessment designed to gather data relevant to the patient’s/resident’s/client’s individual needs. Utilizes exercise, soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, manual therapy techniques, equipment and physical and electrical modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motions, and to decrease pain to restore mobility and function. Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/client and family/caregiver and other members of the health care team. Delegates as necessary aspects of care to the PTA or Rehabilitation aide based on their job descriptions.
