KVIA-TV -- in beautiful and sunny El Paso/Las Cruces -- is looking for a dynamic Weekend Sports Anchor/MMJ. Candidate will be a go-getter, who breaks stories, asks tough questions, connects with our viewers through emotional and creative storytelling and hits the ground running to provide outstanding local sports coverage. Must be able to create original content, work under tight deadlines and be excellent at anchoring in studio and at live reporting out in the field. In addition to high school and local minor league sports, you will be covering two Division 1 university programs – UTEP and New Mexico State. You will also help shoot for and co-anchor our high school football show “The Borderland Blitz.” Qualifications: Benefits: - Anchor weekend sports on Saturday and Sunday newscasts – fill-in during week when needed for main sports anchor. - Ability to shoot, write and edit sports stories and segments. - Must be a conversational and dynamic writer. - Deliver sports with ‘pizzazz’ and personality. - Incorporate captivating sound and video into sports segment. - Provide unique digital and social media content to KVIA platforms. - Write sports stories and send out push-alerts for KV...
