Description The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time clinical track faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Hospital Dentistry (OMFS/HD) with a potential administrative role as Director of the Integrated Special Care Clinic (ISCC) in Patient Services. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with candidate's qualifications and experience. Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical mentorship and instruction of dental and dental hygiene students and graduate students/general practice residents, as well as scholarly activity and service. Service activities include, but are not limited to, providing direct general dental care both in person and by telehealth using appropriate modifications. Patient Services responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of processes to promote the smooth operation of the ISCC, coordination with various stakeholders for this ongoing clinical and teaching initiative, and participation in scholarship-related efforts to promote the management, fundraising, and advocacy for people with SHCNs and medical complexity.
